Borghese Gallery tickets - Rick Steves Travel Forum
Don't get scammed by viator, all Borghese tickets are "skip the line". Mostly because you can enter only at the reserved time booked in advance and there are no lines to skip. Well, you could try to skip the security line if you wanted an interesting story to tell. Of course Viator can't sell Borghese tickets before the Gallery has put them on ...

Walk from Borghese Gallery to Vatican - Rick Steves
If you do the 09:00 time at the Galleria Borghese, your time (2-hr allowance) would be up at 11:00. You could easily walk to the Vatican area in two hours. I'd suggest walking in the opposite direction and catching the #19 tram on the backside of the Villa Borghese park.

Borghese Gallery in Rome - Rick Steves Travel Forum
The Borghese was our favorite museum of the trip and we highly recommend it. There are several checkpoints to maneuver after you pick up your reserved tickets. At the third checkpoint, my friend was told to go check her purse, even though she had made it through the two earlier checkpoints.

Borghese Gallery: Audio or guided tour? - Rick Steves
I thought the audio guide for Borghese Gallery was excellent, one of the best I’ve experienced. With a guided tour, someone else is deciding what’s important for you to see. I’d rather consume that place at my own pace. They have your visit timed out pretty well too. You’d have to work hard to run out of time and miss something major.

Galleria Borghese - Rick Steves Travel Forum
Agree with the others--definitely go to the Borghese, and definitely book ahead. We went the 'ask your hotel to do it' route and they emailed us the confirmation. Printed that out and took it with our Roma Pass to the desk (and then the power went out and we had to go sit outside for 30 mins--Italia!).

Borghese Gallery Website Unresponsive - Rick Steves
It’s been nearly 10 years since my last time at the Borghese Gallery. Last fall, I couldn’t get tickets, and there was also a Damien Hirst temporary exhibit there, as well. I wonder, did people get a 2-hour limit to see whatever of the temporary and permanent exhibits they could manage, or was the Hirst show a separate time allowance ...

Trying to purchase Borghese Galleria Tickets on line- frustrated
And MR how can you call by Skype, and those others? I use Skype but another person has to have Skype. I can't imagine Borghese Galleria having Skype. Do they really want to talk face to face with a person. As someone else said, you can buy credits and use Skype to make voice-only calls to any number.

Tickets to Borghese Gallery? - Rick Steves Travel Forum
Following RS advice in his Rome guide, I am trying to book tickets for the Borghese Gallery via his recommendation, www.tosc.it. The site has a couple of guided tour options for the day I want, which is great. But when I try to purchase, it only allows me to purchase 1 ticket. So I tried other tour times, and still I can only purchase 1 ticket.

tickets for Borghese - Rick Steves Travel Forum
Really, for me, Galleria Borghese eclipses the Vatican Museums. Excellent crowd control, fabulous collection and a fascinating building all add up to a terrific two hours. The building: the interior was designed for the collection with themes in many of the rooms.

Borghese v. Vatican Museums - Rick Steves Travel Forum
With the Borghese Gallery's timed entry and compulsory exit time, you know exactly what time you will be allotted, and that might work in your favor. As Richard said, if you could only visit one on a first trip, the Vatican Museums would have to get the nod, but I'd suggest it only if you truly have time to make it through the vast building and ...
